This is a personal website. This page lists everything it does with your data, in three parts: website analytics, the AI chat and job comparison, and the third parties involved.

1. Website analytics

The site uses Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use it: pages viewed, clicks, scrolling, and session recordings, via cookies and similar technologies. Text you type into inputs is masked by default. Clarity is covered by the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

The site is hosted on Vercel, which keeps standard server request logs.

2. The AI chat and the job comparison

Two features send what you type to an AI: the chat on the home page and the job description comparison on /fit. Both work the same way and are covered by everything in this section.

Bot verification. Each request is checked by Cloudflare Turnstile, which verifies you are a person without showing a challenge. Its data handling is described in the Cloudflare Turnstile Privacy Addendum.

Home-server logs. Your messages, the replies, and any pasted job description are logged on a computer Nikhil owns and operates, along with your IP address, approximate location, and browser type. The logs are used for rate limiting, abuse prevention, and understanding what visitors ask about. Nikhil can read them. They are kept indefinitely, backed up privately, and are not sold or shared. Nikhil does not use them to train models.

AI-provider processing. To generate a reply, your message and the recent conversation are sent to a third-party AI provider. That provider processes the text under its own terms. Nikhil does not control the provider's retention or training policies and does not publish the provider's name here.

What to avoid. Don't share sensitive personal information in the chat, and don't paste confidential hiring plans or personal candidate information into the comparison.

Questions asked through the ask-nikhil MCP endpoint go to the same backend and are logged the same way.

3. Search and AI crawlers

The public pages of this site are open to search engines and AI crawlers by design. The chat API is excluded from crawling, and conversations are never published or made crawlable.
